Honey Harvest - Laytonsville, MD

Ever wondered how honey is harvested?  Here is your chance to see it done live!  Regional Board Member John Lynn ’85 and his wife Kathy invite the Clemson family to their home in Laytonsville, MD for a picnic dinner, visiting a nearby barn with horses, backyard games and the main attraction – the honey harvest!  Guests will see how honey is taken from the comb and prepped for bottling, and all guests will receive a sample of the honey to take home along with a goodie bag.   Please note: beehives are located approximately 100 yards from the property so some bees may be nearby.  During the harvest, the group will be enclosed in the garage and it may be warm due to summer weather.  Registration includes dinner, honey sample, goodie bag and activities.  Learn more and register.
