GPU programming and Deep Learning

The Cyberinfrastructure Technology Integration (CITI) group and Watt Family Innovation Center (WFIC) are pleased to host the following 2-day hands-on workshop from NVIDIA on GPU programming and Deep Learning:

Who it's for: Undergraduate/Graduate students, Postdocs, Researchers, Data Scientists and Professors
Date and Time: Monday 3/27 9am – 5pm and Tuesday 3/28 9am – 5pm
Location: Watt Family Innovation Center, Clemson University, 405 S Palmetto Blvd, Clemson, SC 29631

Topics covered:
1. Programming GPUs with CUDA, CUDA Tools and Libraries
2. Getting Started with Deep Learning using Caffe and DIGITS
3. Deep Learning for Image Segmentation using TensorFlow

Prerequisites:
1. A laptop is required for hands-on exercises in the workshop. A GPU is NOT required on the laptop. No software installation is required.
2. Some familiarity with the Linux command-line is required
3. Some knowledge of a programming language like C
4. Some familiarity with the Palmetto cluster (e.g., how to login, organize files and submit jobs on the cluster).
