The Clemson Global Learning Institute for Faculty, a ClemsonForward initiative, announces its inaugural symposium on innovative strategies to promote global learning for the 21st century student.
The event will emphasize improving global learning for students throughout the curriculum. Sessions will explore models for implementing global learning in campus-based classes and programs, service learning, collaborative online international learning (COIL), and study abroad programs.
Highlights include presentations from Clemson faculty engaged in innovative programming and invited speakers from ACE, AAC&U, Cornell University, Duke University and the Stevens Initiative. Participation in the full symposium will provide a 360-degree view of global learning in higher education today.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Faculty, staff, graduate students, study abroad leaders, and anyone interested in engaging in innovation in global higher education are encouraged to attend. Instructional faculty attending will have a chance to receive support to attend a global learning conference in the next 12 months.
