About Dave Watrous:
Dave first joined Fluor in 1996 as a Civil Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University. Over the past 17 years, he has lived and worked around the world, including Denmark, Kuwait, China, and across the U.S.A. Throughout his career, Dave has worked in the Infrastructure, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Life Sciences industries before moving into Sales, Marketing and Business Leadership for the company.
Now responsible for the growth and re-development of Fluor’s global Life Sciences business, Dave is based in Greenville, SC and is leading the effort to re-establish Fluor as an industry leader in the biotech, pharmaceutical and fast-moving consumer goods industries. Most of his time is spent in Asia and Eastern Europe, with interim business travel across the east and west coasts of the United States.
During a short time away from Fluor, Dave also built a commercial real estate development company with two partners in Greenville and worked in Copenhagen for a Danish-based consulting and technology company that serves the Life Sciences industry.
In addition to his current business development responsibilities, Dave serves on several committees within Fluor, has been past Chairman of the Golf for Greenville charity event, and supports several other local area initiatives within the community.
