The purpose of the Fairfield County Master Gardeners' program is to provide continuing education to its members as well as to promote an interest in the art and science of gardening among residents of Fairfield County. All members have been certified by the Clemson Extension Service after successfully completing requisite class work. Continuing education is further enhanced by monthly meetings and community projects. Master Gardener association meetings, Extension in-service trainings, field trips, and State Master Gardener Conferences offer Master Gardeners a wide range of opportunities to broaden their knowledge-base, develop new skills, exchange program ideas, and forge new friendships.
