Students and faculty are digging for evidence of enslaved people at Fort Hill.
A drop-in at the site will take place Tues., June 19 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The drop-in commemorates Juneteenth, or June 19, 1865, when the remaining enslaved people in the United States ended.
The archeological field school is a summer course taught by David Markus and offered by the department of sociology, anthropology, and criminal justice.
