Next up for Clemson in the LowCountry is an Oyster Roast and Fish Fry starting at 6:00 on Thursday, April 3rd. We are all invited to be the guests of the Truluck family out at Truluck Island where we will dine amongst the oak trees, salt marsh, and creeks. There will be homemade burgers available for those who do not eat seafood with plenty of sides to go around. Joining us that evening will be Davis Babb, IPTAY’s new CEO, and Hack Trammell, President and CEO of the Clemson University Foundation.
IPTAY underwent a corporate restructure in 2013 in order to improve their ability to raise funds for Clemson University Athletics. One of the major changes resulted in the hire of IPTAY’s first CEO, Davis Babb. Babb was previously the Associate Athletics Director for Development and Associate Vice Chancellor for University Advancement at Texas Christian University. From 1999 to 2013, under Babb's leadership TCU raised more than $250 million in gifts/commitments including a campaign to secure more than $143 million to renovate the university's football stadium - the largest fund-raising project in TCU history. Come hear more about IPTAY’s future plans for our beloved athletic teams from the man himself!
Hack was named the first full-time President and CEO of the Clemson University Foundation assuming his responsibilities in January 2008. As we all know, institutions of higher education in South Carolina continue to face the challenges of decreased state funding. The Foundation provides a private/public partnership vehicle in order to raise and manage private gifts above that which is appropriated from state funds in order to benefit the University and provide long-term, stable and significant resources to support its goals. Come hear how the Foundation is helping the University move forward in the accomplishment of its “2020 Road Map.”
