Clemson Faculty Development on Teaching & General Education

This series of workshops is designed for faculty and staff who contribute to teaching our students and/or to general education at Clemson University. We will be joined by guest consultant, Dr. Kate McConnell of AAC&U (Association of American Colleges and Universities). All are welcome and should feel free to come in and out based upon their schedules and availabilities. Reservations are requested:

Session 1 - Workshop: Tools for Evaluating Teaching - Dr. Kate McConnell. 8:15-9:15 am, 118 Academic Success Center. (This session is primarily for Chairs, Associate Chairs, TPR Committees, Assessment Liaisons, etc. Coffee will be available.)

Session 2 - Keynote: The Purpose and Promise of General Education - Dr. Kate McConnell. 9:30-10:30 am, Auditorium of Watt Family Innovation Center.

Session 3 - Collaborative Workshop: Refining Ideas for Clemson General Education - General Education Task Force11:00 am-12:30 pm, 118 Academic Success Center

Lunch (provided for those attending session 3 and/or 4). 12:30-1:00 pm, 118 Academic Success Center

Session 4 - Workshop: Designing Your Course for Student Success - Dr. Kate McConnell. 1:00-2:00 pm, 118 Academic Success Center
