Learn the basics of canning fruits and vegetables from local farms and home gardens. Courses are taught by Clemson University Extension agents at locations around the state. Preserve your fruits by making your own jams, jellies and fruit spreads. It's really quite easy and you'll enjoy delicious results. You will learn about what equipment is needed, selecting fruits and adding ingredients, step-by-step directions for prepping and canning, and will practice in a hands-on demonstration activity. Participants will be provided the Ball Blue Book and other canning-related materials. Please wear close-toe shoes.
