Basic Spatial Analysis Workshop

Spatial analysis techniques examine the locations, attributes, and relationships of features in spatial data. Learn how to use some of the fundamental yet powerful spatial analysis tools in GIS to investigate relationships in data based on:Proximity¥ What is the average distance between coal mines and their nearest river?¥ How many historic bridges are within 5 miles of a major fault zone?Overlay¥ Which parcels are inside a flood zone area?¥ What type of soils overlap with the wetlands in Clemson?This workshop is intended for GIS users who are familiar with data models (vector, raster) and basic tabular operations with GIS.
