Ask-a-Master Gardener at the Sandhill Farmer's Market

The Sandhill Farmer's Market is open each Tuesday afternoon, from 2 - 7 p.m., starting on May 7, 2013 and continuing through late November. We are located at Clemson University’s Sandhill Research and Education Center at 900 Clemson Rd, Columbia, SC 29229, across from the Village at Sandhill. Enter the Clemson property and follow the signs to the market.

The market is home to farmers from around the region and all are required to personally grow a certain percentage of the items that they sell. Items available include fresh local produce, meat, fish, eggs, butter, milk, cheese, honey, plants, flowers, shrubs, and baked goods. Many products are organic. An "Ask a Master Gardener Booth" is available for anyone with questions about home lawn and garden problems. The market often features live music and healthy lifestyle demonstrations in addition to special theme market days.

This season the Sandhill Farmers Market will serve as a collection point for Harvest Hope Food Bank. So when you're heading out for a visit grab a few non perishable items and drop them off. Donating will put that little extra pep in your step that may come in handy as touring through the market to visit with all of our great vendors.
