4-H Wildlife Food Plot Project 2013

WHO: Youth ages 5-19

WHAT: Prepare, establish, maintain, and observe a small fall food plot using provided seed for the purpose of food and cover establishment for game animals and other wildlife species. Complete and return a Project Record Book. Project plots can be hunted over, but must be protected from livestock.

WHEN: Register by Friday, August 16. Plant by Monday, September 30. Return record books by Friday, January 10. Local Awards by end of January. Regional Awards by mid-February. State Awards by end of February. Regional and State Awards sponsored by QDMA *State Winners will receive a Cuddyback Game Camera*

WHY: Educating youth on the proper techniques of food plot establishment to benefit game animals and other wild life species.

HOW: $5 registration fee for current 4-H members $15 registration fee for non-members
